West Philadelphia’s upcoming R&B & Hip Hop superstar J Smith H started in 2009 with Topklass Management who was responsible for facilitating the careers of Reed Dollaz & Shabba Ranks. Rest in paradise to Lennox from the movie Shottas. Valnurd Clarke TOPKLASS CEO, discovered J Smith H in 2009 and he released his first single Smile Girl in 2010 which reached 100,000 views on www.youtube.com/JSmithVision. He then got locked up in the streets of Philly for a robbery and served 5 years in prison.
When he was released in 2017 he created the song Racks 2 Riches and Sweatin Me ft. Bad Boys own E Ness. He then created M.O.N.E.Y. 2 prod. By multi-platinum producer, Maaly Raw who is from upper Darby, a suburb of west Philadelphia.
J Smith H also attended Lower Merion High School, Rest in paradise to the great Mamba, Kobe Bryant, who taught him how to play basketball. Doug Young, then administrator of Athletics at LM at the time, can vouch until this day and is also responsible for continuous support and connections for Eagle Squad Entertainment, J Smith H’s promotion company he founded in 2018, which is also now a publishing company.
Finally, after performing at SXSW live in 2018 at Tokyo Jetz concert, he was locked up again in West Philly for an aggravated assault. He and another adult male got into a heated scuffle and he was re-imprisoned but was recently released on June 26, 2023.
Since then he has already done shows with Tiffany Haddish, Michael Blackson, and DJ drama at the BET hip hop awards, yet he is just getting started!
