By  |

At the BET Hip Hop Awards, 50 Cent earned the prestigious title of “Hustler of the Year” for the second time, a testament to his unwavering dedication and success in the entertainment industry. With his unrelenting entrepreneurial spirit, 50 Cent has not only conquered the music world but also made significant strides in film, television, and business ventures, further solidifying his reputation as a multifaceted powerhouse. His remarkable achievements, resilience, and continuous ability to seize opportunities have once again positioned him as a standout figure in the world of hip hop and beyond, making his second win of the “Hustler of the Year” award a well-deserved recognition of his enduring impact on the industry.

Fat Joe, DJ Kid Capri, and D-Nice opened the first DJ battle of the night, leading the way for Scott Storch and Spinderella to grace the stage. GloRilla kicked off the musical extravaganza with their track “Pop It,” and then they were joined by Fivio Foreign for their latest hit, “Cha Cha Cha.” The dynamic City Girls delivered an energetic dance performance of both “No Bars” and “Face Down.” DaBaby brought the house down with a medley of songs, including “Ghetto Girls,” “Shake Sumn Remix” featuring Sexyy Redd, and “Project Chick” with special appearances by Juvenile and Mannie Fresh.

In a heartfelt tribute to this year’s “I Am Hip Hop Award” recipient, Marley Marl, legendary hip-hop figures LL COOL J and Rakim took the stage. They were joined by Jazzy Jeff, DJ Technician, and the Adam Blackstone Band. The evening’s festivities also included a star-studded 30th-anniversary celebration of the iconic So So Def and its founder, Jermaine Dupri, featuring an impressive lineup of Bonecrusher, Chingy, Lil Jon, Ludacris, Nelly, Bow Wow, Da Brat, Dem Franchize Boyz, and Tyrese.
