New bill would undermine Florida’s recent voting rights restoration amendment

By  |

In last year’s midterm elections, Floridians voted to restore the voting rights of more than a million former felons who served their sentences. On Tuesday, a GOP-controlled House committee voted in favor of curbing who has those rights restored. The bill requires all court fees and fines to be paid before being allowed to register to vote.
