Mahtie Bush: The Foster Kid Turned Lyrical Genius

By  |

What’s up, music lovers! Today we’re talking about Mahtie Bush, the hip-hop artist hailing from Sacramento, California. You may have heard his name in the underground rap scene, but if you haven’t, you’re in for a treat. This guy is the real deal, and his journey to where he is today is nothing short of inspirational.

Mahtie’s passion for music began at the age of five when he first stepped into a recording studio. Being a foster kid, he wanted to use his music to tell his story and inspire others who may have faced similar challenges. Fast forward to today, and he’s a force to be reckoned with. His lyrical prowess and storytelling abilities have only gotten stronger with time.

When asked who his musical inspiration is, Mahtie credits Michael Jackson, who he says overcame numerous obstacles to become one of the greatest artists of all time. Mahtie himself has achieved a lot in his career, including traveling to different countries to share his music with the world. But what drives him to keep pushing forward?

“Hard work pays off, dreams come true,” Mahtie says. “Bad times don’t last, but bad guys do.” He’s a man of few words, but his actions speak volumes. When he’s not in the studio, he’s working two jobs and making time for his son. Now that’s what you call dedication.

Mahtie’s music process is simple yet effective. He either finds inspiration from other artists or hears a beat that he just can’t resist. And as for his greatest achievement so far as a musician? It’s not the accolades or the fame, but the respect he’s earned from his peers and fans alike.

So, what’s next for Mahtie? He’s got a new song called “All Day Remix” with GR8 featuring KRS-One and DJ Kool Kuts, and his new project “GTFOH” drops on May 20th, produced by Monsrock. If you haven’t already, be sure to check out Mahtie’s music on Spotify and follow him on Instagram @mahtiebush916.
