Natasha Jonea Diggs (born October 8, 1994, in New Orleans, Louisiana), also known by her mononymous (https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/mononym) stage name Jönea Lyric, is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. She was born into a family of performers.

Jönea Lyric performed for the very first time at the tender age of four. “It was at that moment that I knew I wanted to be an entertainer” she goes on to say, “My mother was my biggest influence and inspiration musically and personally. She was my greatest supporter and my loudest cheerleader. When I was nine she brought me a dictionary, thesaurus and a journal and told me to start writing out my feelings using words that rhyme. It was doing that, that created my love for poetry. Learning how to structure my feelings so young I feel is what made me the writer I am today. I thank my mom for that. Music is what connects me to her even though she is no longer here with me, I hope that she’s proud.” Over the years Jöneä Lyric has had the pleasure of working with a range of celebrity producers and artists as a songwriter. Currently, Lyric is an artist of Black Label Music Group, of which she debuted her first single “Title ft. (New Orleans King of Bounce) Ha Sizzle,” on February 2023.

For such an established project, Jönea Lyric teamed up with the owner of Hollywood Pompeii Studios, Hollywood Pompeii and his partner and director of the visual arts facility, Hollywood Jamie James. The project required an extension of creative direction. Jönea Lyric captured a diverse range of scenery at Hollywood Pompeii Studios, with Hollywood Pompeii as the director. Within a couple of sessions, both Lyric and legendary New Orleans Bounce artist Ha Sizzle were able to create strong visuals, that evoked the emotions of the lyrics, which spoke of love, union and adoration. Ha Sizzle as a well known and legendary artist of the bounce genre, added an amazing presence to not only the song, but the visuals as well. Ha Sizzle is known for major records inside and outside of the New Orleans area. Projects like Child’s Play by Young Money Entertainment and OVO Sound recording artist Drake used a sample of Ha Sizzle, specifically the lyrics, “she rode that **** like a soulja.”

Hollywood Pompeii, celebrity videographer, filmed the two, and emphasized an intimate and clean aesthetic to Lyric’s visuals, with the use of cool toned hued lighting and instructed Lyric to truly engage with the camera. Pompeii is known for his profound work, and relationship with the camera. Coming from a background of established artists like Fred The Godson, Kevin Gates, Rob 49, Lil’ Boosie, and Fendi P, just to name a few, Pompeii was able to work hands on with Lyric to develop her vision, step by step.

With such great instruction, Lyric’s professionalism shined through to the camerawork and is certainly outstanding for an artist who is up and coming. As an addition to the creative process, Lyric requested for the team of Hollywood Pompeii Studios to retrieve a boa constrictor. The boa constrictor, also known as Obi-wan, was instructed from beginning to end by Margaret Christina of Green Acres Reptile Sanctuary. Obi-Wan made an appearance in the visuals, and is seen wrapped around Lyric’s torso. The two developed great chemistry as Jönea Lyric gave a performance of passionate choreography.

Hollywood Jamie James, as the facility director saw to Jönea Lyric and her creativity. James assisted Lyric with pyro, which is also seen in the warehouse area of Hollywood Pompeii Studios. The environment was set to more darkened lighting to fit the sensual aesthetic that Lyric visualized. Her debut studio album “BARE” will be released in December 2023. We are so excited to see what is in store for this beautiful soul. She is an extremely talented young lady. Be sure to remember her face and name, it won’t be the last time you see it.
