A Tree Grows In Brooklyn But Only With A SEED

By  |

SEED Brklyn opens today in Bed-Stuy. What you can expect when you walk in the door is something you have to experience. From the plants to the teas, this curated space implodes your sensory receptors and intrigue you as you travel deeper and deeper within the space. Although SEED prides itself on being a hybrid fashion, art and community destination, what intrigued me was the endless hours and attention to the aesthetic. The intention that went into placing the shoes within a one of kind green sculpture that almost didn’t make it. The smile that appeared on Brooklyn-based artist Christophe Roberts face when he pointed to the Clarks or the pride in his eye when he described how he stumbled upon the sneaker washing machine that sits in his space in Asia. You are instantly transported into tranquility while gliding from the Greenhouse Cafe, to the Garden and lastly to the Oasis.

The Greenhouse Cafe is a gem. It is enshrined in plants and bares a wall of action figures of Biggie and Wutang. You can purchase Vinyl collectibles, while sipping a hot cup of coffee or tea. The retail space or “The Garden” holds burgeoning brands like Martine Rose, Rains, 100 Wolves, Socialite Archive, Undercover with talks of adding more. Here is where the Japanese-inspired sneaker laundry sit and for a mere $30 bucks you can them back in 24 hours. The experimental art space or “The Oasis” is a dedicated NFT gallery that allows you access to collecting NFTs and taking away tangible art.

“Brooklyn has been home to some of the most influential artists in the world and throughout significant
moments in history across pop culture, fashion, sports, and more,” says Christophe Roberts, Founder &
Partner of SEED Brklyn. “SEED is paying homage to the borough of Brooklyn by not only honoring those
very same artists and their legacies but also embracing and highlighting many of the emerging, creative
talent coming out of Brooklyn and across the City.”

SEED Brklyn is located at 1217 Bedford Avenue. So make sure you stop and spread love it’s the Brooklyn Way!
