VA’s Orion Opens Up In “Tenet” Visual!

By  |

Inspired by the movie which stars Denzel Washington’s son John David Washington, DMV based recording artist and songwriter Orion unloads the official music video for his Foreign Vu-produced single “Tenet.” Directed by Ayden Bravo for dogged contender, the HD-clip marks the beginning of a new phase in the Virginia native’s soundscape and creatively captures his transition from adolescent to adulthood.

Explaining the record’s origins in first person, Orion states:

“While making the song I was heavily watching the film ‘Tenet,’ hence the name of the track. The song to me really just represents what the 2022 version of Orion has to offer. I really get to showcase just how much my melodies and word play has evolved. Basically, this is the appetizer to what me and my team have been cooking up.”

Named after the constellation and raised in Northern Virginia, Orion was introduced to music at a young age by way of his parents, playing artists such as Mary J. Blidge, The Delfonics, Aaliyah, and even Sting. As time progressed, artists such as Kanye West, Gorillaz, and Virginia’s own Pharrell, sparked Orion’s personal infatuation towards music. This ultimately inspired him to start creating and releasing music of his own.

In late 2015, Orion released his breakout single “TTG,” which has now amassed over 6M+ streams across all platforms. Five years later, he released his long-awaited full-length project Cyberpunk. The 12-track body of work draws influence from multiple mediums and finds Orion traversing the strange digital world of a never-released VR game.

From modern trap to edm to a blend between the two, Orion breaks all the rules of what a modern artist is capable of, adding his own sparkle to any sound he touches. Watch the music video for “Tenet” and stream the track on your DSP of choice via HEY Collective / WeAreVA, LLC.
