Vince Staples Releases Music Video “MAGIC”

Produced by Mustard, “Magic” is a celebration of how Staples was able to beat out his inner city surroundings and the system that was designed to keep him in the environment he was raised in. “It’s handshakes and hugs when I come around,” he raps just before acknowledging that there are foes around who don’t enjoy seeing him win. “I think it’ll put the listener in a good state of mind,” Staples says. “The mood of it defines the project.”

“Magic” is the first single released off of his upcoming album that was filmed by directing duo Kenten. It features a series of shots that depict Vince’s day. From the grocery store to an epic house party, Vince is living life and happy to be doing so.
