We had the opportunity to interview Krispy over the phone:

Interview with Krispy:

1. What’s your name?

My name is Clayton but I’ve been known as Krispy since 8th grade.

2. Where are you from?

I grew up in a smaller town out of Pittsburgh, Pa.

3. How old are you?

Im 19 years old

4 .When did you start making music

I started taking music seriously about 8 months ago but I’ve been recording for a year.

5. How serious are you about your career?

I am very passionate about music. Im doing this for my family and friends. So id say, the most serious I’ve been about something in my life.

6. Have you ever thought about quitting music?

Ive never thought about quitting music but there was a time I wasn’t as motivated to record. The support that Ive been getting from my fans means the world to me and they’re one of the reasons I keep going.

7. Who inspires you the most?

My biggest inspiration has to be my younger brother, Carson. He’s my best friend and we always have each others backs through anything. We push each other to do great and stay motivated, super proud of the kid.

8.What got you into making music?

My boy Louie got me into the studio about a year ago and I fell in love with it. Wouldn’t be where I am today without him. I wish her was still here to see how far we’ve come and will continue to go. He’d be right with us.

9.Who is your favorite producer?

I don’t necessarily have a favorite, but I’ve worked with lots of great producers. At the moment, I produce myself, with my boy Jake Eback in my studio (@prodbyprecision).  My debut album “Moods” was produced by my really good friend Cole. We spent 100+ hours in the studio and recorded 30 songs in a month. Forever grateful for him.

10. What is one of your best songs/beats?

In my opinion my best song is “I Don’t Feel Right” but a fan favorite is “Story To Be Continued”.

11. Are you signed to a record or label?

I am an independent artist.

12. Have you ever performed?

I have performed a really small show in front of about 50 people before, that was months ago. I plan on setting up a concert for myself within the next 6 months because of the traction I have been picking up behind my music.

13. Who would you most likely collaborate with?

I am very open too collaborations, I love working with new people. If I were to chose one person to do a song with it would be Jack Harlow. I feel we would be able to run a song together.

14. If you could open for any artist who would it be?

Opening for anyone would be amazing but id love to open for Baby keem, that dude slides on every single track and keeps his fans lit.

15. What’s next for you?

I have tons of stuff coming up for 2022. Definitely going to be the busiest year of my life and I’m so ready for it. Keep your eyes and ears open, we’re doing big things!
