CMC Guapo New Release “Flight Mileage” (Official Music Video)

Guapo [born Antwan Green] is an indie rap artist from Detroit, MI by way of Southwest, Detroit. Guapo began taking music seriously during his freshman year of high school in Palmdale, CA. Going back-n-forth from California to Michigan, given his background in foster care/expulsions from several schools, Guapo developed countless relationships with individuals who shared similar dreams of making it in the rap music game.

His early inspirations would come from both family & friends, having been inspired by a collective of artists known as the Commission Squad who released music and performed locally in Detroit, MI. Guapo found his home creatively with a young producer by the name of Von Classic, together they developed a sound, and his artistry was developing & his confidence as an artist began to grow.

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances Guapo had to deal with some legal issues amid the jumpstarting of his career, and thus had to take time away from the spotlight. Not one to let things deter him, Guapo linked with local hitmaker Helluva [credits with Tee Grizzley, Meg Thee Stallion, E-40], and released his heat-seeker record “Trenches,” which immediately put him on the radar as an artist to watch in Detroit, MI.

Consequently, he inked a management situation with Grizzley Gang Entertainment, and joined the roster including Tee Grizzley & Sada Baby at the time. With his buzz/energy growing in the city, Guapo continued to move accordingly, and released countless records & videos to build a campaign.

Having dealt with past traumas of losing friends, being shot, and seeing the loss of his late ex-manager JB [Grizzley Gang Ent.], Guapo pours all his pain, passion, and trauma into his music. There is a ray of sunshine, Guapo is now a father of a beautiful daughter. He says affectionately, “I’m a 100% focused, because I can’t fail, she needs ME!”

At the same time, he speaks highly on how he has conversations with his listeners, he exclaims, “I don’t rap,” “I talk to my people, and share my life and experiences with them.” His new single “Flight Mileage” is a lifestyle record, showing a day-in-the-life of Guapo’s world, production was handled by Michigan J Malcom, and the record is now available via all digital streaming platforms.
