Bstar – The Rising Star

Bstar, born Bernard Mathis Jr., is a recording artist fueling his passion for music through a variety of creative endeavors. After attending the Los Angeles Film School in Hollywood, California, the native Florida rapper
has continued to pursue music professionally celebrating a couple of accomplishments along the
way. His appearance with Boosie Badazz on the debut single “Tweety” solidified his place in the music industry as someone pursuing his dreams with the power of perseverance, determination,
and forward thinking. His debut single “Tweety” features Boosie BadAzz, gaining over 1 million views on Youtube
since its release in early March. The Lake County, Florida native took the single to the next level by releasing an acoustic violin version of “Tweety” with VolX the Violinist. This video has accumulated over 100,000 views since July. This goes to show the creativity and power of
Bstar’s music. Bstar is also making some noise in the radio scene as well. His music has been played on the
radio nationally, with his top single, “Tweety” reaching the top 200 on national radio airplay charts. Radio stations such as KFAI 90.3 FM, KMUD 91.1 FM, M3 RADIO, WERU 89.9/99.9,
WNSU 88.5 FM, WODU STUDIOS, WSUW 91.7 FM, and WUTK 90.3 FM have also placed his songs on the top 10 lists.
His latest release “Civil War” captures the atmosphere within the Black Lives Matter movement. The song touches many relevant topics that black Americans face through the use of captivating story-telling and sharp lyricism. Bstar is joined by singer Jessica Raeanne and music producer/ professional violinist Volx to stand in unity against those who have wronged the Black community. 2020 was a massive year for Bstar, but he’s just getting started! There’ll be lots more to look forward to in the upcoming year.
