Gucci issues apology following over balaclava sweater that resembles blackface

The company received backlash for a balaclava sweater which many people said resembled blackface. In a statement, Gucci confirmed the item of clothing has since been removed from online and physical stores and said the incident was a “powerful learning moment” for the company.
