From Short Film to Success: A Celebratory Tale of Laughter, Acting, and Music

On March 28th 2016, a circle of buddies convened to create a short film. They had no idea that the first day would’ve been the start of their paths to distinction in their various fields.

The film, shot in Fayetteville, North Carolina, featured the comedic talents of LaQuan Wilson, aka Brydell Cocky. At the time, Brydell was working as an editor intern at Motown Records and had a dream of entertaining people through his unique brand of humor.

Joining him were Wavyy Jonez, who had a passion for acting and was working odd jobs to support his dream, and Morray, a talented rapper who was just starting out in the music industry.

Regardless of the circumstances, the group invested their hearts and souls into the project, wanting to create anything and everything exceptional.

Fast forward to today, and the friends have each achieved incredible success in their respective fields. Brydell is now a renowned content creator on YouTube and TikTok, known for his relatable and hilarious videos. Wavyy Jonez has made a name for himself as an actor, starring in hit shows on Netflix and Hulu. And Morray has become a rising star in the music industry, with his hit song and taking the world by storm and even earning him a spot on J Cole’s tour.

Reminiscing on that same day 7 years ago, the buddies can’t really help but be thankful for their trip.

They may very well have begun with a small short film, however their dedication and dedication have propelled them to extraordinary heights.

“Who thinks you can’t transform your ambitions into a reality?” says Brydell. With a sense of humor and a lot of spirit, anything is possible. And these three friends are living proof of that.
