RESPECT, N Pose shines at the Music Hall with his Aretha Franklin Tribute!

By  |

Detroit Rapper, N Pose, hit the mark once again with a high pressure performance at the Aretha Jazz Cafe. “He was better than advertised,” were the words from Bruce Bailey. The highly decorated DJ and event planner reached out to N Pose to perform at the event after seeing his captivating performance last year at the Motor City Roots Festival posted to his Instagram page.

The night began with a superbowl watch party. The guests were served food and spirits while rallying behind their respective teams as they watched on the jumbo sized projector. The crowd cheered for Rihanna’s halftime performance during the game but had no idea the special in house performance that awaited them.

As the Chiefs dropped the confetti in celebration, N Pose entered the venue. Pure white blazer, bowtie, Dior loafers, and his signature ‘P’ diamond pendant make him hard to miss. Accompanied by Melvin Grigsby, his cameraman and Elite Media’s CEO, you could feel that N Pose was preparing to deliver something special for the audience that night.

People were starting to gather their things and leave until the DJ announced, “we have a special tribute for Aretha Franklin up next.” The excitement and anticipation built in the space as guests returned to their seats. N Pose and his team navigated technical difficulties with the sound equipment before a friendly stranger seated near the stage stepped up to help. None other than Detroit DJ legend Charles Hicks was the kind mystery man to know exactly what to do and help resolve the issue.

The glowing light from phone cameras filled the room as N Pose rapped his own remix to Aretha Franklin’s, “Rocksteady”. From start to finish he dropped lifeline facts about the Queen of Soul. The energy was undeniable and a testament to his patience and professionalism as the audience danced and bounced along to N Pose’s performance. His charismatic personality and his TV ready showmanship was on full display as he closed down the special night.
