Smino Release “Luv 4 Rent” and His New Single “Matinee”

Chicago-via-St. Louis rapper Smino released his lush, melodic new album “Luv 4 Rent”. The track feeling more like an outpouring of self-love and craving intimacy on all levels. The melodies seem to cry then you immediately remember the lineage of his grandfather. The blues that have been engraved within Smino since he was a young child. The production on “Luv 4 Rent” is astounding and the vocals effortless, which is something you come to expect from third album. Smino has found his groove and taken us along for the ride, while reintroducing us to Monte Booker. Monte is a labelmate on Smino’s own “Zero Fatigue” and producer/co-producer on 10 of the 15 tracks on the album.

I was instantly caught up in his radio hit “90 Proof” with J. Cole after listening to the complete project I understand the effort that went into it.
