Smino Releases New Single “90 Proof” feat. J. Cole

Smino is getting ready to drop his third album, Luv 4 Rent, and last Friday, he served up the new single, “90 Proof,” a soulful truth bomb featuring J. Cole. The track debuted inside the Top 5 of the Genius Top Songs chart, and several days later, it’s holding strong in the Top 20. It’s been a while since we’ve heard from the hugely talented Chicago-via-St. Louis rapper Smino but he returned stronger than ever and pulling this feature only confirms why the industry welcomed him back gracefully. Although the dynamic duo have worked together before, “90 Proof” is very much a song that happens to have a feature by J. Cole. Monte and Groove gracefully curated the guitar laced beat, while Smino melodic voice sing raps quickly integrates through the music. Almost immediately, he apologizes for all the wrong he did in the past that messed up his past relationships.
