Raina Simone Unleashes Debut EP ‘To My Hearts’

By  |

Today, Harlem, NY artist, producer, and singer-songwriter Raina Simone unleashes her highly anticipated To My Hearts EP now available on all DSPs. If you’re a wordplay and reality fanatic, this four-track NYC drill collective is definitely worth the while. Classically trained as a musician and naturally a lyrical giant, Raina Simone is just getting started. The To My Hearts EP is a great first impression for those new to Raina Simone’s growing discography, entering the game with a unique and influential approach to hip-hop. Falling directly under the umbrella of conscious rap, in this EP, Raina Simone shows her versatility amongst her usual discography. As mentioned, tapping  into the drill side of music that her community identifies and expresses with, she creatively encompasses the popular sound and her moving lyrics all into one.

Not only is Raina Simone a stellar lyricist, but she is also a jack of all trades as well. She is a creative bombshell, who also produces, engineers, and writes music, too. Her multi-talented abilities are a recipe for success, and the Harlem native is definitely on a clear path. With freestyle cameos via On The Radar, Sway’s Universe, Bars On I-95, and more, Raina Simone’s foundation is sturdily building itself and her raw talent is the glue. To My Hearts is a great first impression for those new to Raina Simone’s stealthy discography, and hip-hop lovers will not be disappointed with this great body of work.

“It was important to me to humanize the emotions behind the lifestyles that so many demonize without proper understanding while also showing that the drill sound can be separate from drill content.”

Coming into the fourth quarter of the year head-first, Raina Simone is bound for some motion. This highly anticipated EP release is definitely one for the books and there’s plenty more to come from the Howard University alumna. Be sure to stream the official To My Hearts EP here.
