Aaron Colbert’s Evolution from Top DJ to Certified Healer and Life Coach

By  |

When you think of a DJ, what comes to mind? A party starter who knows how to get a crowd going? Someone who knows the intricacies of music and is versed in keeping people interested? For Aaron Colbert, that’s only a tiny fragment of his reality. While Colbert has been a successful DJ for years, working with some of the biggest names in the music industry, he’s also a certified healer, mentor, and high-performance life coach.

Colbert started DJing at a rolling skating rink at 15, and never imagined that one day it would be his career. He later put himself through college by working as a barback, bartender, promoter, and manager, which deepened his understanding of the food, beverage, and hospitality industries. When Colbert moved to LA twenty years ago, he leveraged his past knowledge and worked for some of Los Angeles’ hottest and hippest establishments.

He became the head bartender at KOI and the food and beverage director at The Standard Sunset before starting his entertainment consulting and booking agency. Over the years, Colbert has DJed, booked, and consulted for renowned brands and prestigious venues such as Skybar, Mondrian, Delano Las Vegas, Lamborghini, Bentley, Coachella, and NYC Fashion week, among others.

Getting to the top required Colbert to reinvent himself constantly. Colbert says “music is not just about spinning records and keeping the dance floor packed all night long. It’s about creating, holding, transforming, and expanding energy and, most importantly, allowing yourself to be open yet protected.”

His work in the booth has helped him develop his skills as a healer and coach. He’s now building a lifestyle brand where his interests and dreams in music, fashion, events, décor, and style align.
