The Vocals On Trinidad Cardona’s “Love Me Back” Are Explosive

22-year old Trinidad made music – and sports – history in April when he became the first emerg­ing bi-lingual, multi-cultural, next gen artist to launch the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ Official Soundtrack with “Hayya Hayya (Better Together),”a rousing reggae-meets-EDM anthem.  The official video has garnered over 15 million views. Yesterday, Trinidad Cardona released the acoustic version to his song “Love Me Back” and despite the absence of music still manages to deliver a killer vocal performance.

Trinidad’s original version of “Love Me Back,” a soaring torch song, melded hypnotic Afro­beats percussion and shimmering synths. It exploded virally in the spring and summer with over 3 billion views on TikTok and over 400,000 creates, over 4 million plays on Soundcloud, over 10 million streams on Spotify, and over 10 million video views on YouTube.
