Interview with the DJ of the moment, Realbryan.k

By  |

Hello! How are you?

Hi! I’m a little tired because of the workload I had during the last months, but I’m ok, thanks!

What is exactly your profession?

I am a DJ, producer and Beatmaker. But recently, I’ve started creating brand identities for some of my clients who want to expand into music or other projects while working on my own projects. It gives me a new perspective to help other people’s projects while doing my own thing.

How do you define your musical style?

That’s a good question! Because a lot of fans categorize me as an Electro DJ, others as hip-hop, and even others as funk. From my point of view, I think that music evolves very fast and that today, you can touch all kinds of styles especially when you are a DJ, but to answer the question I categorize myself as an electro/Hip Hop DJ, because that’s what I do.

What was the process of finding what you wanted to do?

The process was very difficult, like everyone else, I think. I was a student in digital marketing, and I was working at McDonald’s to make money, with time I was able to acquire a lot of skills while promoting musical projects, and since then I’ve become passionate about music, then I said to myself why not become a DJ?

Who is the person who helped you to get where you are today?

Several people inspired me a lot and gave me a lot of advice on music, but there is only one person who convinced me that I was made for DJing, it’s my university roommate, for the anecdote my roommate said to me one day “eh Bryan, you are a person who are musically talented, why not try to DJ? At first, I didn’t believe in it at all because I didn’t know anything about the job, but I quickly met people who mix and I launched myself into this fantastic world that is DJing.

What is your next project?

I’m going to launch a new musical project that I’ve been working on forever: “JUST A DREAM”. Yes, it will be an album and not an EP. It will be a mix of electro/Hip Hop tracks inspired by some of the things I’ve really learned over the past few years. “JUST A DREAM” project will be released at the end of 2022, but a surprise will be released in the next few weeks. And that’s all I’m going to say, because it’s coming soon.

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in Paris, France! A beautiful city! A city that brought out music greats like DJ Snake.

Where are you from?

I’m from Paris, my birthplace, but I spend most of my time in Miami, where my musical inspiration comes from…

What are the challenges you had to face along the way?

If I was to list all the challenges I’ve faced along the way, it would take me several hours. It’s sad to say, but for people who are just starting out, it will be terribly difficult to succeed if you don’t have the right mindset, which is to determine and move forward no matter what it takes!

Otherwise, to answer the question, I would say that the most difficult challenge for me was to start from scratch whether it is in the knowledge of software to produce the mixes or in the knowledge of marketing to promote his project, I was able to acquire this knowledge during my studies in marketing, but in reality, everything is available on the internet, if you really want to learn, you will learn. As far as DJing is concerned, I learned from people I know who shared their knowledge with me.

What does it take to succeed as an artist or entrepreneur?

As I said at the beginning, it’s all a question of mindset, you have to start by working on yourself, as they say before changing the world you have to start by changing yourself. Once you have acquired a good mindset, I think that success is only a matter of time.

Where do you see yourself in the next five years?

In the next five years, I want my own company to help thousands or even millions of entrepreneurs or artists to develop and realize their dreams.

What advice would you give to a young artist or entrepreneur?

Always go forward even when you feel like you’re behind, you’re not behind, you’re on time, in your time! And keep in mind that you will fail many times, and tell yourself that there is no success without failure.

What is your greatest source of inspiration?

My biggest inspiration is probably DJ Snake, he comes from Paris like me, he is French like me, he is a DJ like me, and my dream is to be like him.

What is the last step you want to take before you retire?

I would like to start making movies before the end of my career like the famous 50 Cent did, it’s something I’ve always dreamed of doing since I was little.
