NYC’s Own King Dax Releases Slow Down

Born and raised on the Lower East Side of NYC, his first single “SLOW DOWN” Prod. by Dj Horse is not your typical drop from a 19 year old. And interestingly enough he recorded the record in South Texas, with Grammy nominees El Dusty and Mariano Rivera, while away at The University of Texas at San Antonio. Though he’s still in school the song has a mature sound and feel that exposes his old soul. Dj Horse provides the sonic landscape that King effortlessly floats on, and his range of harmonies and cadence is impressive. With lyrics about relationships and the need to sometimes “slow down” , he really taps into a comprehensive understanding that sounds way deeper than the thoughts of a teenager. It’s not often a new artist already sounds seasoned. KINGDAX is different.
