Whatever the IT factor is, THEAMBERSMOKE has it. It’s clear the minute you turn on her new single “Money Orders”. She sounds like a combination of old-school Lauryn Hill, mixed with something so fresh and all her own.
It’s no wonder Nicki Minaj and Trey Songz Producer: J-Kits teamed up with her on her latest single “Money Orders”.
Amber thanked her mother for inspiring her creativity – she said:
“When I was a little girl, my mother would play “Miseducation” by Lauryn Hill. Hills’ music had this incredible vibe, and after you were pulled in, you got thoughtful and meaningful lyrics. After hearing her, it was clear: I knew I wanted to be an artist”.
“Money Orders” video drops Next Month, and it is directed by Music industry legend: M-Doc (Chris Brown/Oprah). Amber has also attracted the attention of and collaborated with #1 Charting Producer: C-Ray.
We especially rock with Amber because she’s a true artist to the core. Visually: She styles herself, directs her own videos, develops her treatments, choreographs and personally edits each frame. Sonically: She writes and even records herself and has truly been through the ropes as an artist.
When we asked Amber if there was anyone she wanted to shout out, she mentioned:
1- Her mom, Miss G who is her creative director, helps with marketing and her constant source of support and inspiration.
2- Her Manager Stylzs: Who of many things – did marketing for Alicia Keys and toured with Keke Palmer.
3- Her recently deceased and former beloved manager J love.
4- Her executive producers/co-directors/co writers: M-Doc and C-Ray.
5 – Legendary Producer, J-Kits.
Her album “Pink Smoke”, will blend boundaries of rapping and singing, and we at This is 50 can’t wait until it drops.
