Behind The Artwork With Kid Flvsh: How Fivio’s New Anthem “City Of Gods” Cover Art Came Together

By  |

On Friday, the world was presented with a new anthem from Brooklyn Drill Rapper, Fivio Foreign featuring Kanye West and Alicia Keys, titled “City of Gods”. We asked the artist behind the artwork, Kid Flvsh a multi-platinum cover artist (@kidflvsh), how it all came to be:

How did you come up with the concept for the project cover art?

KF: The cover original started off as an entirely different concept tbh. After hearing of the recent tragedy of Fivio’s friend, his manager, Lu Mota (@lutivated), and I decided we should make it a tribute to him (Tdott Woo) capturing the spirit of NY while also hinting at the features on the song (Kanye West and Alicia Keys) and thus the cover was born!

Was the Process Difficult? How long did it take you to make the official version?

KF: Compared to other releases i have worked on, this process wasn’t as hard to complete however there was a lot of pressure on me being that it was such a huge release. In total, it took me only 2 hours to draw the final official version.

How does working on a project such as this one make you feel? What does this mean for you?

KF: It makes me feel very good! I am honored to have been a part of greatness and have the ability to say I’ve worked with these artists. For me, this is my biggest cover art to date but for the most part I look at it as motivation and a reason to go harder and put on other upcoming cover artists such as myself!
