Playa Pat – “Point Guard” (Official Video)

After gaining some mainstream momentum following the A Zae Production-directed visual for his G Herbo collaboration “Trap House,” Pensacola’s own Playa Pat releases a brand new single titled “Point Guard.” He pairs the audio drop with a 20kvisuals music video, which finds Pat rapping the song’s lyrics inside of a basketball gymnasium; posted in front of expensive cars while wearing bust-down jewelry. Speaking on his latest release, the Yung Check Chaser Music Group frontman states: “I’m giving you real-life shxt. I want people to be able to relate. You’re going to understand where I’m from and who I am.”

The Florida native quietly asserted himself as one of his hometown’s most consistent musical forces, racking up over 1M+ cumulative streams independently and collaborating with platinum stars. Inspired by the likes of Future and Boosie BadAzz, he cultivated his own style highlighted by a wavy cadence, signature high-pitched tone, deft rhyme-play, and punchy lyrics.

Pat generated buzz early on in his career by consistently releasing records, including “In My Bag,” “Get It Together,” and “Rollie.” Without any promotion or traditional support, the latter popped off; garnering an impressive 100K+ views on YouTube, leading to his 2020 anthem “Trap House” featuring G Herbo.
