H.E.R Kicks Off The URBAN ONE HONORS

Yesterday, the excitement mounted as the Gentleman himself Ne-Yo took the stage to welcome everyone to the Urban One Honors. This year, TV One shined a spotlight on a star studded  group of honorees including Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, Lifetime Achievement; Timbaland, Music Innovation; Gamble and Huff, Living Legends; Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Inspiration Impact; and Oscar, GRAMMY and Emmy Award-winning Jennifer Hudson. Everyone was pleasantly surprised to see Kelly Price who experienced some concern by fans once announcement was made that she was missing in September 2021. Kelly along with Tyrese, Tank, Johnny Gill and Ralph Tresvant were amongst the performers for the night.

Of course our Club Quarantine Star D-Nice was on the ones and twos rocking out to classics. We loved seeing Eva Marcille hosting the backstage pass segment and Jermaine Dupri and Marlon Wayans presenting awards to the legends. For us, Ne-Yo stole the night. It was quite apparent that he studied some other amazing hosts as he glided through the show flashing that winning smile with every joke and every quote. You could easily have forgotten that was in fact Ne-yo’s first hosting gig to date. We hope he lands more after this!
