64th Grammy Awards Moved To Vegas April 3rd

By  |

On Tuesday, The Recording Academy announced to members that the 64th Grammy Awards will take place April 3 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. This is the first time the star studded event will be held there and it is still set to be live on CBS. Leading with the most nominations is John Batiste with 11 and hosting is Trevor Noah. John was excited to hear the news of his amount of nominations and quickly tweeted that he born on 11/11. This is the second year in a row that COVID-19 has forced Music’s biggest night to be postponed. The date changed also pushes back the CMT Music Awards that was set to originally take place on April 3rd.

“We are excited to take the Grammys to Las Vegas for the very first time, and to put on a world class show,” the academy’s CEO, Harvey Mason Jr., said in the message. “From the moment we announced the postponement of the original show date, we have been inundated with heartfelt messages of support and solidarity from the artist community. We are humbled by their generosity and grateful for their unwavering commitment to the Grammy Awards and the Academy’s mission.”

Other Chart topping nominees are Justin Bieber, H.E.R., Doja Cat, Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo.
