Interview With Dwayne Kirkland Jr.

1.Can you tell your fans something about yourself that they may or may not know? 

Dwayne M. Kirkland Jr, is a twenty seven year old rapper that was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. Dwayne goes by his rapper name D Kirk KV, which stands for island breeze . D Kirk is half Jamaican and African American from his mother who is African American and father who is also Jamaican.From an early age, he was passionate about music just like his Father who was a musical enthusiast himself. He received his bachelor’s degree in 2016 for sports management at Kutztown University. He made several hit smashing singles from , Understanding Ft Mayila, she’s a vibe Ft bptheofficial, I know you mad as hell for no reason Ft Mikey 100k and his latest Never Ft Kawelo . D Kirk had several interviews but the top one for him was with Dark Magazine in February 2021. He described his sound as a wave and vibe with a mixture of R&B, hip hop as well as some dancehall. He always advises aspiring musicians to never stop dreaming and never give up on what you love to do. He strongly believes “music can express your mind, heart and soul. 

2. Are you signed to a label? 

Yes, D Kirk is signed to Latasha Melody, a new and upcoming record label. It is located in Philadelphia, PA. 

3.What genre of music do you consider yourself? 

D Kirk Kv genre is a mixture of R&b and Rap . 

4.What is your creative process like in producing music? 

D Kirk start of listen to several sounds and beats in his studio 

To have a better feeling on what kind of tempo he wants to bring to his fans. 

He also asks his team for advice on whether or not they enjoy this beat or 

Change the sound. He prays every morning to help guide him with every step of the way with his success with everything he’s doing in his career. 

5. Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started this career? 

The most interesting thing that had happened in D Kirk music path was receiving several attention to his number one hit single “My Type”. Few celebrities that had reposted and played his music on their Instagram page were Neyo, Safaree and more.

6. What was the greatest challenge you faced in your career? 

D Kirk greatest challenge that he ever face was, rapping/singing in front of millions Of people for the first time in concert from 2016. 

7. What’s the name of your clothing line? 

D Kirk Kv new clothing line name D&J Clothing1 that had been out since July 2021. 

8. What was the inspiration behind creating the line? 

Behind D&J Clothing1, representing two top artists from Latasha Melody. Their names are D Kirk KV and Jahmeir. Latasha wanted to show the world these two upcoming artists in a brand that shows their personality in clothing with different swag. . D stands for D Kirk kv and J for Jahmeir , the one also represents one team and brotherly love.
