Beloved Golden Girl Betty White Dies at 99
While everyone was anxiously awaiting the end of 2021, the year snatched another one of our beloved legends Betty White. We were all anticipating the celebration for her 100th Birthday after People released that she would be on the cover.
“Even though Betty was about to be 100, I thought she would live forever,” her agent and close friend Jeff Witjas told PEOPLE in a statement on Friday. “I will miss her terribly and so will the animal world that she loved so much. I don’t think Betty ever feared passing because she always wanted to be with her most beloved husband Allen Ludden. She believed she would be with him again.”
Despite telling everyone that she felt good for her age and had good health, Betty white passed away peacefully at home 17 days before her millennial birthday. The icon was remembered all across social media with some of her most iconic moments while reminding us just how wonderful she was. Here are some thoughts shared on twitter:

Betty White will be missed tremendously but most importantly we told her we loved her all the time. Prior to passing away, she was the last remaining member of the Golden Girls. We are sure they welcomed her in heaven with open arms. Thank you for being friend.
