Fat Wavey – “Drank Force 1” (Official Music Video)

New York City has been experiencing a resurgence in the mainstream within the past few years, namely from Brooklyn. The drill sound emanating out of that borough has captured the national consciousness but other areas in the Mecca of Hip Hop are branching out with their own sound. Case in point, Fat Wavey. A native of Manhattan’s Lower East Side, the relative newcomer has made great strides since emerging on the scene back in 2019. In that time, he has released several full-length projects including collaborations with the likes of Famous Dex and Day Lee. This is in addition to receiving heavy cosigns from members of the ASAP Mob and Lil Uzi Vert affiliate Ngeeyl of 300 Ent.

Fresh off of releasing his most recent album, Fat Wavey ups the ante with the visual for his latest single “Drank Force 1.” The track finds him showcasing his menacing bars over Ransom’s drill-infused backdrop. The track and accompanying visual are a perfect mashup for Fat Wavey’s brooding rap style, which is a unique change for today’s rap scene.
