Actor TJ Jackson joins the Cast of P-Valley Season 2 on Starz
Set in the fictional Mississippi Delta small town of Chucalissa, the new TV show from Starz P-Valley centers on a story of colorful characters and violent human trajectories. The show, written by Pulitzer Prize winner Katori Hall has also announced its cast members, and the recent announcement is actor TJ Jackson, who will be joining the cast for the show’s second season.
TK Jackson’s introduction to the show will birth a new character called “Birthmark.” Getting cast in P-Valley comes in the wake of the string of successes the award-winning actor has enjoyed this year as a breakout star. He has numerous notable titles to his name that have made him a recognizable name in the film industry. Some of the TV shows he has appeared in include Star, American Soul and Doom Patrol. He has also been involved in projects like Hulu’s Vacation Friends starring John Cena and Women of the Movement, executive-produced by Will Smith and Jay Z.
The Tyler, Texas-born actor started his acting career as far back as a very young age. His first appearance was in Chris Rock’s comedy film Head of State in 2003, and since then, he has built a thriving career with a sterling portfolio of highly-rated television shows.
TJ Jackson’s pursuit of excellence and success at the moment is a key ingredient in his plans of achieving the numerous dream. One being to evolve as an executive producer in TV and Film giving a voice to stories and messages he deeply believes in. “Creativity is serious work, especially in the film and movies industry, and I intend to explore that to the fullest by being a part of multiple aspects of film production.” he said.
TJ has a promising future as he is currently working on an untitled Tyler Perry project while also anticipating his appearance in romantic comedy F-Boy Free, written and directed by George Gerard Lott of Universal Pictures Little. He is set to star alongside Greenleaf star Jennifer Sears.
