Smiles Official Took A Shot With Tory Lanez For “Bands In The Trap”

By  |

Doesn’t seem like Tory Lanez is going to take his foot off the gas any time soon. Summer is almost over, but Tory Lanez is still heating up. He joined Miami’s Smiles Official on his “Bands In The Trap” single which is already gaining in popularity with DJs like Enuff in New York, DJs in Georgia, Tampa and his home town of Miami. “I knew we had something after Tory sent in the hook” Smiles Official explains. Tory Lanez on the hook:

“Whole lotta bands in the trap

Bunch of bad bitches puttin hands in my lap

One more brick put my mans on the map

Don’t talk crazy put the hand on hand on the strap”

Smiles Official coming in with the flow:

“I ain’t never ever back down

You could check da resume check my background

Fell in love wit da pyrex

I done sold more clean den tilex”

Early on, Smiles Official listened to artist like Jay Z, T. I., Jeezy and Gucci Mane who he felt spoke to his humble beginnings. Now that he is in the music business, he’s had the opportunity to rub elbows with several rap moguls like T Pain, Trick Daddy and Rick Ross. Smiles Official being an artist and an entrepreneur, he respects Rick Ross business savvy. Like Ross, Smiles Official is showing promise of a true Hip Hop contender but he may also be on his way to pop stardom as well. Smiles Official, from Miami with Haitian and Jamaican roots, explains “there’s a lot of artists who put on their rap costumes and lie in their music, but I have a city that supports me so I have no choice but to stay true to who I am”. Sound like Smiles Official is selling us some much-needed authenticity.

The production of “Bands In The Trap” was well crafted and Smiles Official and Tory Lanez created a solid track. Take a listen and let us know if Smiles Official and Tory Lanez got them one.
