Cuomo Gives Farewell Address Before Resignation in Wake of Scandals
Gov. Andrew Cuomo will not run for public office again, top aide Melissa DeRosa confirmed Monday shortly before the Democrat’s planned “farewell address” to the people of New York. His scandal-plagued resignation takes effect just before midnight.
Cuomo, 63, is set to end his shortened third term at 11:59 p.m., just under two weeks after he announced he would resign rather than face a likely impeachment battle over sexual harassment allegations.
