Klassik Frescobar: Childhood and Early Life

Born in New York, Klassik Frescobar moved to Jamaica where he spent the first 13 years of his life. He was raised in Kingston by his maternal grandparents and his love for music started quite early. When he came across his mother’s old cassette player, he was introduced to the music of Dancehall artists like Bounty Killa, Beenie Man, and Sean Paul. He was instantly captivated by the music. He grew up listening to their tunes and it was these artists and their songs that inspired him to infuse Jamaican Dancehall and Soca.

His Career And Journey In The Music Industry

Klassic Frescobar moved back to New York when he was 13 years old and a few years later he started songwriting.  During his time in New York, he did not let go of his cultural roots and continued to attend local Dancehall parties where he made connections with local DJs and producers. He met Ricky Blaze at one such party and the duo went on to release the popular mixtape called “Sleep When I Die” along with Red Cafe, Cory Gunz, XV, and Currensy.

Klassik Frescobar’s association with Red Cafe did not end there. In 2014, he moved to Miami and worked closely with Red Cafe. Through him, Klassik Frescobar familiarized himself with the party and DJ scenes in Miami and made it big in the Soca scene there.

So far Klassik Frescobar has released 15 singles, out of which eight are solo projects. Hit songs by Klassik Frescobar include ‘Boom’, ‘Chair’, ‘Gasoline’, ‘Looking Good’, and ‘Benz Truck’. Songs like ‘Looking Good’, ‘Boom’, and his latest number ‘Too Much’ have all gone viral through several social media challenges that have taken the digital world by a storm.
