Interview With Aimee (Rain) Purple
How would you describe your musical style?
What is the first album you owned?
How do you prepare before going up on stage?
“A few deep breaths, and focus on my intention. Which is to make people “feel” good through music.”
What’s it like being Aimee?
What’s a song that has been stuck in your head these days?
“Cardi B – Up.”
Who’s your favorite artist?
“My favorite artist is Chris Brown. He is a Virginia native like me and has been doing music for over a decade.”
Tell us about the first song you made. Was it a success or a failure?
`My first song was in 2012 “Rep where you from” Over Biggie’s Juicy beat. At the time it was a success; it was a song to promote myself in the battle rap world.”
What is the story behind your upcoming project?
“My upcoming album 33 is extremely versatile. It’s an album representing my life and things that I have gone through and what I’ve kind of learned through music, my growth and how to handle things on a better level than I have in the past also relates to those who are going through things in love in life in general life itself. It’s extremely relatable to anyone at this time.”
If you could pick one or the other, what would you choose, the money or the fame?
“I would choose neither, my goal is to help others feel better through music… and if that is only one person I’ve served my purpose.”
If you could go back in time or in the future, which one would you choose and why?
“The past, to see my mother. She passed in 2015. That would be dope.”
