Dash Michelle – “Cursive”

Dash Michelle born Destyni Michelle Green is a New Orleans native. She’s shown musical interest since age three. Dash grew up watching American Idol and listening to many influential artists such as Destiny’s Child, Brandy, Aaliyah, and Fantasia. It’s been her dream to be an R&B singer/songwriter from young. Dash started writing music in middle school, to cope with depression and being misunderstood, as she was scolded for expressing herself. She sang in the school choir (most times singing lead at assemblies, local events, graduations, and field trips). She found music to be very therapeutic and uplifting. In 2018 she was introduced to artist/producer Davis Chris who later became her musical mentor. He also gave her the nickname “Dash” which would later be a part of her stage name.
