Brooklyn’s King Xerxes, Paces Himself on Inspiring New Song, “I Am Me”

By  |

Brooklyn recording artist, King Xerxes follows up his well-received “Drown” music video, with his new single, “I Am Me.” Balancing boastful lyricism with vulnerable rhymes about his day-to-day, King Xerxes lifts the veil and gives listeners a better idea of who he is on this chill, introspective track. He’s truly writing his own story.
“But I don’t give a f***/ Palms itching up / Wrote this in cold sweat / They can’t say it’s luck/ Wrote this in back pain, while my daughter flaring up/ Man that COVID shit a dub/ Feel like a cover up,” King Xerxes raps.
