Christian – “More Than Meets the Eye”

The DFW area (Arlington, TX to be specific) is a rather unlikely place to find the next up and coming artist. Not too many have come out of the area to make it in the music industry. That is until now. 29 year-old recording artist Christian is breaking the mold and making a name for himself, winning over one spectator turned fan at a time. He started writing poetry at 14 and shortly after performing spoken word at venues from all over the city. From the now defunct Mochalux Coffee, to the local church, this young man showed promise and demonstrated prowess not too many his age would possess. “More Than Meets the Eye” explains the juxtaposition that men of color oftentimes find themselves in unfairly, wanting people to get to know them for who they truly are instead of being typecast. The tipping point resulted in the aforementioned song and music video. Enjoy!
