Production Duo Yellow Trash Can Land Placement On BlocBoy JB’s New Album

Production duo Yellow Trash Can hasn’t been together for over a year and they’re already making big waves in the music industry. Recently landing their first major placement on Blocboy JB’s album Fatboy, members Jitta On Track and Jason Navarrete aren’t planning on letting up anytime soon. A fan favorite on BlocBoy’s new project, “Carlton” is lead by a hard-hitting and infectious piano melody keeping it simple yet highly effective. With one listen this melody and BlocBoy’s off-the-wall delivery will most likely be stuck in your head for the rest of the day.

The beat started on the Korg Gadget app while Jitt was in Los Angeles and Jason was in Portland, playing Nintendo switch online. Once the melody was finished and some basic percussion, Jitt bounced out the files and finished it up on Fruity Loops. “Being able to make music live at the same time through Nintendo is actually extremely helpful Jitta’s been using all of Nintendo’s cardboard synths and toys in the studio for years, it was cool to have this different approach to bridge the distance” says Jason of YTC. Blocboy JB came to Burn Money studios up in Portland, while on tour with Trippie Redd and both of them pulled up on Jason at work and ended up busting out Carlton the next day before they left.

Recently opening their own recording studio in North Hollywood, Yellow Trash Can linked with Purp of 808 Mafia to take their industry connections and talent even further. With the goal of landing more industry placements and also helping new up and coming artists find their sound, we’re excited to see what the future holds for these two talented artists.
