Tory Lanez Has Been Officially Charged in the Megan Thee Stallion Shooting

Just a few weeks after Tory Lanez returned with his surprise project Daystar, headlines announces that the Toronto rapper could be facing up to 22 years in prison. In Los Angles on July 12th, Tory Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion linked up for a fun night in the city. The night went south after an argument took place in an SUV that Tory, Megan, and some others were riding in. Shots were fired and it left Megan Thee Stallion with bullets in her foot causing her to end up in the hospital. A month later, the “WAP” rapper went on IG live to state that Tory Lanez was the shooter. In response, Tory dropped his project Daystar which revealed that him and Megan Thee Stallion were dating and that is what caused the argument and heated emotions.

According to TMZ,The L.A. County D.A.’s Office hit him with one count of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, and one count of carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle. The D.A. also alleges Tory inflicted great bodily injury. If convicted, the rapper/singer faces up to 22 years and 8 months in prison.
