Adro Da Don Talks About Music Career and New Single Trapalete

By  |

What’s something that you believe connects your fans to this song?

Every hustler in America is gonna feel this song because it’s a club joint that celebrates the guys that got it from nothing. The guys without a deal or a major sports contract. I’m celebrating myself and the majority of underdogs that are actively making it.

How would you describe your sound?

Intellectual street trap music with a bit of those southern playalistic vibes mixed in.

Who are some of your musical influences?

off the top of my head i’ll have to say Gucci Mane, Pimp C, Big Moe, Zro, Papoose, Ross, Currensy

Tell us more about your production process, and how much of it do you do yourself? (do you have a producer, a team of producers, do you self produce, etc.)

I like to lock in the studio for like 12 hours straight and just let my boy Steez Taylor, or SPVDE just crank out beats for me. Honestly the beat is gonna tell me what to say. I never go in with a preconceived idea for a song, I just listen to what the beat telling me then jump in the booth and let the words fly.

Where are some of your favourite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

It’s something about performing at the strip club that just makes you feel like you’re a king of the underground. Thats prolly my favorite spot to perform or do a walkthrough. Every strip club in America, preferably the South though.

Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

I got to get a track in with Trouble Trouble DTE. Buddy got that southern street lane down pat I gotta tap in with him.

What album/band are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

PTSD the deluxe version been in heavy rotation, G-Herbo been snapping and it’s like he finally getting that nationwide recognition

Would you say social media is an important platform for your work? And if so, why is social media such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

Social media of course is your biggest tool when it comes to marketing so it’s prolly the most important aspect of an artists development. You just gotta find  the lane that best fits what type of artist you are and run with that. Some dudes get all the IG love and some get it all from twitter you know what I mean?

What would you like to say to fans and supporters of you and your work?

To everybody who bought, streamed, or even just took a second to listen to my music and what i’m about, I wanna tell you thank you from the top to the bottom. I love you for the support!
