By  |

Southern California based artist Mr. Dozier aka Thee Mr. Dozier wants to expand your horizons and tastes with his brand of music. Thinking outside of the box, there’s no genre or style he won’t experiment with as it results in listeners tuning in to his vibe. Having made some noise earlier this year with the Dray Boogie featured track, “If” and his Facebook Live series, he wants to prescribe you a whole supply of good music with his upcoming debut project, “Asymptomatic”.

Featuring just over 10 tracks, Mr. Dozier gets into topics like love and spirituality and wants the listener to get into a conscious state of mind from the second they press play. He also shares some social commentary as he mentions population control and the Black Lives Matter movement. The project features guest appearances from Saren MelodyAnnisa The PoetPrinceAMalakyte, and O5iru5, who all bring valuable contributions to this body of work.

Production on “Asymptomatic” was provided by Mychal HaworthDooneyGotBeats, O5iru5 who produced on 5 tracks, and Mr. Dozier took the reins on one track. With a blend of Trap, R&B, World Music, West Coast sounds, and spoken word, Mr. Dozier looks to promote unity and provide another channel where good vibes and positive energy prevail.

Born in Motown and raised in Southern California, Mr. Dozier didn’t find himself becoming a recording artist until later in life. Having been a part of the behind the scenes for many creations over the years, songwriting and performing caught him when he found the right inspiration. An activist as well, Dozier spearheaded many BLM protests and forums promoting equality, unity in the community, and breaking the chains of racism. With influences from the likes of Bob MarleyWyclef JeanJ. Dilla, and Erykah Badu, Dozier was provided with the freedom to create with no boundaries and has gained the ear and respect of many in the music industry. Looking to shift frequencies and raise the vibrations, Mr. Dozier wants to enhance the “Hueman” experience one performance or conversation at a time.

Mr. Dozier looks to cause a shift in music with the release of “Asymptomatic” on September 4th, 2020 through Edified Intellects Publishing. In promotion of the project, he teamed up with the SixSixUno Benefit Festival & Highway 14 for a dream vacation giveaway.
