How are you?

Man I’m too good, glad to be apart of the community and culture. Inspiring artist from all sounds and demographics. I work to give hope to those with a dream, like myself, to make it further in their music career path.

Where are you from?

I’m born and raised in Houston, TX but have lived all over, including the entire coast of California and most of central Texas. Currently working and residing in Houston’s Galleria Area, close proximity to my day to day at Johnny Dang & Co.

How did you get into the music industry?

I got myself into the music industry by being a worker of the urban culture. Making connections from The West to The Third Coast , where I was picked up by Jdawg’s management team for my tech knowledge and street smart.

I trained in Southern California with an elusive rapper/webmaster who taught me the skills of digital magic and art. We traveled together all across the Western and Northwestern part of the states progressing the lives of many artists and businesses.

What is your greatest inspiration?

I find my initiative to work and create coming from various characters I have met in my life. Singling out any one particular inspiration cuts away from those that continue to help me grow.

Obviously however, my current boss Johnny Dang and the premier artist I manage Jdawg inspire me every time they place a challenge in front of me to complete. Connecting the dots between the streets and the tech era is ever evolving and I fully enjoy the outcomes.

What is the hardest thing you’ve over come?

Naming a hurdle to begin with give merit to the fact it may have been a problem to begin with. I choose to find gateways in errors and new pathways in things considered to be challenges. Getting to the point where I see the world this way was the hardest part.

Being honest about things I am working on, separating friendships from the professional workplace has been a learning experience.

What is the greatest achievement you’ve ever accomplished?

Achievements to one may be the day to day life to other. Currently, my day to day life is the greatest achievement I have accomplished. Running the image of an artist, JDawg, and managing a multimillion dollar business for Johnny Dang, daily is truly an accomplishment in itself.

Who are some of the people you have worked with ?

See me on #Instagram to view my client list by following @johnnybesomeone

The past year alone has exponentially increased my resume of high profile names I have had the pleasure to work with. Publicly, JDawg, Johnny Dang, Paul Wall, Los from The SUC, Riff Raff, Trae Tha Truth, Rodwave, Juice Wrld, Dababy, Young Ma, Gucci Mane, Foogiano, Coach Tha Ghost, and many more privately.

What is next for you?

Creating a full circle of connecting all the dots with those I worked with previously to those I am in direct contact with everyday. I see adding up all my experience and the network of individuals I can call anytime to be the next career path for me.

Landing a spot on “This is 50” certainly exhibits the life I love to wake up in. JDawg, in 2011, was featured on “Vitamin Water Uncapped” with 50 Cent. Hopefully this article serves to rekindle a new episode of Vitamin Water uncapped.

Taking the knowledge I learned from those in the past to the professionalism I currently exhibit, will be the full circle of networking I plan to make my final career.

Working with Jdawg and Paul Wall more closely will also be a plan I have coming next. Listen to their most recent album “Houston Oiler”. The album is in Johnny Dang’s shop, stop by anytime to get a free copy. Just ask for JohnB.
