L.Rucus and Derek King Connect for Dual Music Video

By  |

Though 2020 has been the throw away year, musically, we can’t complain. A lot of that is due to talented emerging artists taking over the scene.

Bay Area rapper L.Rucus is a 10 year vet in the music game that’s admittedly still growing but the hard work is paying off.

He’s back with his latest EP “Danger,” which he recently released two singles presented in one visual for. The joint video starts off with his single “What You Say,” featuring Derek King and then goes into his solo single “Danger.”

“The song for What You Say came about after my friend Solomon set me the beat,” L.Rucus said. “We connected in LA and immediately started working.”

He linked with Derek via Instagram and the record was born from there. The concept of the visual was inspired from a marketing idea Rucus created. He knew shooting the video would cost too much and through 2 visuals he could tell a compelling story. Allen of Red Fox Productions chopped it up with Rucus and helped him conceptualize pieces.
