Marko Danial, aka Pharaoic, is a popular and emerging social media star and entrepreneur who is the founder and CEO of Spzrts. As a freshman in High School, Pharaoic decided that he wanted to learn more about sports, that is when he created a sports account on Instagram. Without knowing, the account went viral after a shared video of Kobe Bryant. His account gained tons of followers after this, and that is when Pharaoic knew that he wanted to continue doing social media and being an influencer. From there, Pharaoic continues to grow a variety of different social media accounts, he was able to learn some of the best growth and marketing tactics. Given his young age, Pharaoic’s goals are to continuously inspire and motivate others to do anything that they believe in.

Within a span of a few years, Pharaoic gathered millions of followers across many different social media platforms––mainly consisting of Instagram, Tik Tok, and YouTube. Later on, he founded Spzrts, a sports media company that is committed to making the best athletic gear for athletes. It is also dedicated to inspiring others by sharing the different success stories of many athletes. Being able to talk to many athletes throughout his social media, he has learned a lot about hard work and dedication, that is why he wants to push it forward and motivate others to do the same. He wants to show that anyone can accomplish anything, as long as they work hard for it.

Marko Danial was born on February 19, 2001 in Egypt and later on moved with his family to the United States in 2007. Wanting to be his own persona online, he decided to create the name “Pharaoic,” something that his fans can call him by since he is Egyptian. He wanted to share his culture and background through this, since, Egypt is known for its pyramids, pharaohs, and camels. Pharaoic has now moved to California where he’s focused on completing his higher education. He is currently studying engineering, which his future goal is to be able to expand Spzrts into a bigger well-known company. Pharaoic believes that if you really want something, you have to set a goal, stick to that goal, and work towards accomplishing that goal.

Q: Talk to us about your social media growth, your journey and rise to such a strong audience and network.

A: I first started my growth ventures on Instagram back in 2013. During my freshman year in high school, I then decided to create a sports account as a total joke. Then shortly after posting for months with having only 20 followers, I started gathering followers. Eventually, one of my videos of Kobe Bryant went viral, and I gained thousands of followers. From there, I was able to grow my account to hundreds of thousands of followers (a year or so after I created the account). Ever since then, I continue to grow a variety of different accounts, such as comedy, shoes, and a few other sports pages. All these accounts were niches that I had a passion for and was interested in. It was something that I liked doing and had fun with. I then ended up building a sports company, Spzrts, which continues to be successful. When you’re an influencer, it becomes pretty easy to make friends. It’s not too hard to reach out to another influencer when you also have a big influence. Over time I was able to connect and become connected with some of the top rappers, actors, athletes, and entrepreneurs. I don’t think a lot of people realize how easy it is to get in contact with an influencer. Most of the time, if you reach out to someone through the DMs, they will respond. It doesn’t hurt to try, so it’s always worth it to connect with others. You can build a relationship & network with people online, and you never know where you will end up. That is exactly what I did!

Q: Tell us about your company, Spzrts, what is it? What do you plan on doing in the future?

A: I am the current CEO and founder of Spzrts, which is a company that I dedicated to making the best athletic gear and the media coverage of different sports. I created Spzrts in order to share the stories of athletes and inspire others around the world. My goal is to be able to run it into a bigger company that is well-known by many. As I am studying engineering now, I hope to be able to create different types of gears for athletes in the future to help them stay fully locked in with their sport. Our current Mission Statement: “Every athlete is driven by a passion, fueled by their love for the game. Keeping that in focus, we came up with this great initiative for the athletes to have the satisfaction of choosing nothing less than the best. We fully understand the compassion and efforts you have put before perfecting your game, and will not let anything get in your way!” Feel free to check out our site to learn more!

Q: What makes Instagram your favorite platform?

A: Instagram was the first social media app that I used and learned everything about, therefore, it’s my current favorite. I also have more followers and a bigger audience on Instagram, compared to the other social media apps. Nowadays I would also say that Instagram, Snapchat, and Tik Tok are the three most popular and used apps, therefore they’re the best social media apps to promote products across as well as build your business. I like Instagram since its always constantly changing, they’re always adding new features. So I think it’s just interesting to see how much the app has grown and continues to grow over the years!

Q: What were your main struggles on the platform to see success? How did you persevere through it?

A: For me, time management was a big struggle. It is sometimes hard for me to keep up with social media and all that posting if I’m studying. I end up losing followers and become inactive if I don’t stay active. But, after a while, I was able to find a consistent way to stay up to date on all my accounts. Now, I’m a college student, but whenever I do have the time, I keep up with social media. That is why it is very important to organize and use your time wisely. Also, at times, it does become pretty hard to grow on many of these social media platforms. Especially with Instagram, after they started making many major changes and all the competition from Tik Tok, the app itself started becoming inactive. As an influencer, it was harder for our posts to go viral and do well––until recently, Instagram has actually started picking up for a lot of us. Whenever an obstacle gets in the way, you just have to find a way to get through it. That’s why it’s important to never give up, and if you truly want something, you have to work hard for it!

Q: How has social media opened up your connections more? What are some of the people social media allowed you to connect with that didn’t think you ever would?

A: One of the best things about being an influencer and all this social media stuff is connecting with other influential people. Not only was I able to talk to many huge athletes, rappers, actors, and entrepreneurs, I was also able to work with and for them. You would be surprised at how connected you can be from just reaching out to different people. That is one of the main reasons I have made it this far, by connecting with others. However, something that is also interesting, related to music, is I post the latest music that comes out on my story on my personal Instagram page (@Pharaoic) every week. After a few years of doing this and tagging each artist in the story post. I was able to make many connections with huge artists such as YBN Nahmir, 24kGoldn, OT Genesis, Mozzy, MADEINTYO, Guapdad 4000, and so many more! Through this, I was also able to gain tons of followers, since each artist would repost my post on their own story. I totally started this idea for fun, but I have gained thousands of fans on Instagram ever since, by doing this. Interestingly, I currently work with many athletes, where I help manage their social media accounts and help them grow. This not only helps me connect with different people that have the same mindset as me, but I am able to build those right relationships that can be beneficial to me in the future!

Q: What would you advise people on social media to do as far as growing and becoming an influencer?

A: As long as someone has some sort of influence on a social media platform, typically with thousands of followers, they can be defined as an influencer. It is very important to stick to a certain niche. It makes it much harder for you to grow if you have different types of content and post random things on your account. Once you determine a niche, come up with a theme that your social media follows––something that no one else is doing. Here are 5 quick tips that I think are important and can be useful in helping an influencer grow.

1.) Stay Consistent & Active

2.) Engage With Others

3.) Make Page Look Professional

4.) Shoutouts With Other Influencers

5.) Use The Right Hashtags

Furthermore, it can become hard to grow at first, but if you continue to stay consistent with what you do and follow these simple steps, you’ll be able to grow. However, it’s important to always be yourself and not try to become something you’re not. The problem with social media is it gives that image that a person’s life is so perfect. They have the latest clothing, technology, or even a nice car. But in reality, that’s what seems to be all about, showing off what you, in order to make it look like your life, is exciting and fun. So I think it’s really important for all of us to accept who we are and start being transparent on social media. It shouldn’t be about who has more likes or followers. It should be about connecting with people, sharing ideas, and expressing ourselves!

Q: What made you step into the social media world so strongly committed?

A: Being an immigrant coming here to the United States, being looked at and treated differently, I just really wanted to show that anyone can accomplish anything, no matter who they are or what background they come from. I started out social media totally for fun, I never thought I would actually be doing what I do today. Back in my country, sports were there, but they weren’t as big of a thing as it is over here in America, of course. So out of that curiosity to learn more about sports is what really fueled me. I did play Basketball during middle school, and it is my favorite sport. So I thought, why not learn more and have fun with the sport I love––my favorite basketball team is the Los Angeles Lakers. But of course, I also do like watching other sports! However, someone who really did inspire me was Kobe Bryant. Although it’s sad to see him go so soon, his inspirations and legacy will live on forever. I have always looked up to him throughout my life. He was my favorite player, and I just really liked his hard work and dedication to basketball. That is what really inspires me to keep going with what I do!

Q: What are the goals you’re ultimately trying to achieve with social media? Any new plans and or things in the works you’re excited to hint to us?

A: My main goal is to continue to inspire others through different social media platforms. Especially becoming a YouTuber, I hope to give my fans a good time when they watch my videos. As Kobe Bryant puts it, “The most important thing is to try and inspire people so that they can be great in whatever they want to do.” This is something that I really look up to, it’s very important to push others forward to do what they believe in. And you can’t let anyone tell you that you can’t do something or that you’ll never accomplish anything. We have to get rid of all that negativity, that is why I want to continue helping and motivating others. Ultimately, that is why I do want to grow my personal and sports audience on all social media platforms, so that I can have a bigger influence. I do have some huge collaborations with different artists and athletes on the way. However, I also have some big news related to my company Spzrts on the way, stay tuned for it!

Q: Lastly, tell us more about all your social media accounts and where the people can find you.

A: My first account that gained popularity was @FullCourts on Instagram, where I used to post full-court shots and as well as trick shots. It was also one of the biggest accounts that I managed, with over 150,000 followers. Although the account is currently disabled due to some copyright issues, it really helped me connect with many athletes and content creators that are in the sports niche. Other than @FullCourts, I also have another sports account known as @PureAnkles, which I dedicated towards crossovers and ankle breakers. I currently also run @NicestKicks, which is a page for all the sneakerheads who love fire kicks. @Cvmedy is another account I manage that is gaining popularity for its comedy, videos, and memes. And of course, @Spzrts, where we post all types of sports-related content! You can find all these accounts on Instagram and Tik Tok. However, my personal is @Pharaoic and you can also find me all over social media!
