Sphinx – “The Journey”

Hip-hop artist Sphinx drops a controversial music video to his single “The Journey the same day as The Harriet Tubman movie .” The music video depicts the artist as an escaped slave and makes some not so subtle comparisons to today’s criminal justice system. Directed by Sphinx, “The Journey” was shot in one take. According to Sphinx, “we wanted to do something in-house, and this was our first music video. We wanted to tell an important story
without getting into million-dollar film production.”
