The former Malibu home of talk show icon Johnny Carson just sold for $40 million. The late night talk show legend acquired the Point Dume complex in the mid-1980s for around of $10 million and lived there until his death in 2005. Early in 2007, Carson’s wife sold the grounds for $36.5 million to a billionaire apparel mogul Sidney Kimmel, who is taking a steep discount on the nearly $82 million the home was originally listed for around two years ago.
