15-year-old Cori Gauff defeats Venus Williams in straight sets at Wimbledon

After last week, becoming the youngest tennis player to qualify for Wimbledon in the Open era, 15-year old Cori Gauff beat the five-time champion 6-4, 6-4 to become the youngest player since 1991 to win in the first round of the ladies’ singles.

After the match, Gauff thanked Williams and told her that she “wouldn’t be here” without her.
