French billionaires pledge €300 million towards rebuilding Notre Dame

François-Henri Pinault, the husband of actor Salma Hayek and chairman of international luxury group Kering, which owns brands like Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent, pledged €100 million (USD 113 million). Later, the family of French billionaire Bernard Arnault and his group LVMH, which owns 70 luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton, pledged €200 million (USD $226 million). The historic architecture was damaged by a devastating fire.
