High School Principal Dies Donating Bone Marrow to Teen

By  |

A New Jersey high school is mourning the loss of its principal, who died after donating bone marrow to a complete stranger. Westfield High School principal Dr. Derrick Nelson donated his bone marrow to help a 14-year-old boy in France, but he suffered complications from the procedure, and had been a coma for the past month. The town’s mayor says Nelson was a role model who also served in the Army Reserve for 20 years. InsideEdition.com’s Mara Montalbano has more.
