See Joaquin Phoenix in the chilling new Joker trailer

The upcoming Joker spinoff, directed by Todd Phillips, debuted its first trailer at CinemaCon on Tuesday. Critics and festival-goers in the audience largely came away excited by the look and tone of the film and Joaquin Phoenix’s haunting portrayal. The film is due out on October 4.
